Get answers to common questions about Sugaring Chin.

Most clients enjoy smoothness for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles and aftercare. With consistent appointments, regrowth becomes finer and slower, often extending intervals between sessions. Hormones and medications can affect timing.

Yes—sugaring is gentler than many alternatives and ideal for sensitive skin. We recommend a patch test for reactive skin and avoid sugaring over active, inflamed acne. Your technician will assess your skin and advise the best approach.

Sugaring typically reduces irritation and ingrown hairs versus waxing because it removes hair in the natural growth direction. Proper aftercare and gentle exfoliation help prevent ingrowns, though minor redness can occur for 24–48 hours.

Allow about 4–6 mm (quarter-inch) hair length for best results. Avoid retinoids or strong exfoliants for several days prior, skip heavy makeup on the day, and avoid sunburn or recent tanning to reduce sensitivity.

Most clients find sugaring less painful than waxing because the paste adheres to hair, not skin, and is applied at room temperature. Sensitivity varies, but technique and experience of the technician make treatments quicker and more comfortable overall.

Avoid direct sun exposure, hot showers, saunas and heavy makeup for 24 hours. Gently exfoliate after 48 hours and moisturise regularly to prevent ingrown hairs. Use SPF when outside and avoid picking the area to promote healing.
